september wrap-up

It’s that time of the month…

September just flew by! I’ve been keeping busy with my multitude of personal projects–they seem to be getting out of hand lately! Writing, crochet, blogging, keeping up with my TPT store, reading, working out…it’s been A Lot.

But it’s been a good month, and I finally feel truly ready for fall. (If only it’d stop being so abnormally hot around here…) I’ve been productive and busy and overall pretty positive about life. Which is great!

Read on for my monthly wrap-up.

mini reviews

The Liveship Traders trilogy by Robin Hobb: ★★★★★
which includes Ship of Magic (#1), Mad Ship (#2), and Ship of Destiny (#3)

I’M SO OBSESSED WITH THIS SERIES YOU GUYS. Pirates, sentient ships, family drama, coming of age, romance, action, adventure–you can get it all here. Seriously so, so great. Series review coming soon!

My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, and Jodi Meadows: ★★★★☆

Entertaining, charming, and touching! This book takes a super fun, fantastical twist on history. An excellent audiobook listen.

Yes, Please by Amy Poehler: ★★★☆☆

Stories and reflections from the one and only Amy Poehler. Here be stories from the industry, witticisms, and some very relatable musings. Also a great audiobook listen.

Waking Gods (Themis Files #2) by Sylvain Neuvel: ★★★★☆

An excellent follow-up to the first book in this series! Less focus on the personal drama, and WAY more action and thrill. I almost can’t believe how wild it got. Can’t wait for the next installment.

crafty things

As I learned last month, I’m much less motivated to be crafty when I don’t have much of a purpose or person in mind. Hence, I only finished one baby blanket for an old youth group leader of mine. But I’m satisfied with how it turned out!

Next up is a dragon-ish baby blanket for my cousin’s baby due in January, and prepping for Christmas gifts…(How is the year flying by so fast?!)

  • cream and gray baby blanket

in progress

  • dragonish baby blanket
  • neon baby blanket (take 2)
